This week Brian K Vaughan had two comics out.

My pick of the week is My Little Pony: Micro Series issue 2 featuring Rainbow Dash, how could it not be when the book is this good.

Writer Ryan Lindsay brings us a one shot that has the feel of an early season Simpsons episode, in that anyone can enjoy this. Kids can get a kick out of the fun cartoon adventure with heart storyline, whilst older readers can enjoy the clever word play and brilliant, yet subtle pop culture references sprinkled through out. This is a true all ages comic book.

Whilst Lindsay takes us all on a fun escapade with his witty words, we all get to sit back and just take in the beautiful art of Tony Fleecs. His style makes every page pop and the way he captures emotion in cartoon animals has more truth to it that half the books on the stands.

This is comics at its very best, regardless of subject matter I’d recommend this to anyone.

To use the words of Paul Montgomery, good stories good stories good stories.
