Boom Studios has been absolutely killing the kids’ comics line these days.  “Finding Nemo”, “Toy Story”, “The Incredibles”, they’re all solid kids books.  But The Muppet Show stands out, hands down as the best of the bunch.  Roger Langridge’s muppet timing is impeccable.  The jokes are at the precisely correct level of stale that they were on the show.  And the running gags have great gams.

The inclusion of a Wayne and Wanda sketch made my week.  As did Langridge;s ability to write The Swedish Chef flawlessly.  And the art, which I didn’t like in the first Muppet Show comic, is either growing on me, or it’s evolving.  I can’t tell, as I sell out of every issue that’s come out so far.
