Poor Ms Marvel! She’s been stuck in EVENT hell for almost the entirety of her series; betraying her friends over some daft nonsense, endlessly taking the initiative to no avail, and now she has to put up with some daffy Skrull shenanigans. Skrulls are usually relentlessly boring, and there’s no change here. They are B movie fodder, thrust into the limelight to sell shit loads of comics (amazingly!).

I want to read about Carol Danvers AKA Ms Marvel, not her rag tag team of Lightning Strike operatives; and once more, Ms Marvel fails/f**ks-up. When is she going to hit the sauce again?

The art is pedestrian, but moves the plot along convincingly.
