Mr. Terrific is one of my top 10 favorite superheroes and I was really looking forward to this book. Unfortunately, the first two issues were absolutely terrible. This issue was a significant improvement. The story is a straight up superhero beating the bad guy story. It is not particularly imaginative and has a lot of really bad superhero cliches. Mr. Terrific dicovers who caused his wife's death. He loses his temper and takes it out the bad guy. Then he regains control of his emotions when he notices a group of kids watching him. Any veteran comic readers has seen these things happen a thousand times and Wallace fails to add anything new the cliche. Scott Clark replaces Gianluca Gugliotta (not sure if this is a permanent replacement, I hope it is)and the art is a significant improvement. Clark also appears to be a superior storyteller to Gugliotta. This issue was good enough to keep interested (barely). Hopefully, this book will start improving.
