Back to Bendis's Basics

I've been quite upset at how the pages of Mighty and New Avengers have been abused over the last few months, but this issue was definitely worth picking up (along with the Avengers issue that dealt with Hank being switched with a skrull to see his and Janice's last exchange).

This issue revealed better than most the reaction to the kinda news that you're world has been royally !#*%@$ and all that you knew is uncertain at best.  I'm truly excited to see what Bendis will do with Pym and how he will use him.  Personally, I love what he's done with Luke Cage since the beginning of New Avengers, and find this to be a similar situation.

New potentials aside, the opening scene of this book was thoughtful and the awakening to the funeral parlor very stirring.  All the reactions were believable and transcendent, breathing and taking on life and not just sitting as a strip on a page.

Art-wise, my favorite image was Hank's destroyed and disheveled visage at the bottom of page 11, and story-wise, it would definitely have to be the exchange between Clint and Norman Osborn on page 30-31.
