his issue seemed to be a lot more together than the first one. It
seemed to be in a holding pattern until Morbius went all horror film
about 3/4 of the way through, then it just felt awesome. I like how the
Hood is written here. He’s a good balance between evil mob boss and
hidden mystical bastard, which really is a role that needed filling in
the universe. I am not too fond of the virus mutating. It kind of makes
me question the need for a title like Marvel Zombies when it isn’t
really about zombies anymore. I have never cared for Jennifer Kale
before, and I honestly don’t care about her now. I think the only
really engaging characters in this book are the Hood, Morbius, and
zombie Wade. Other than that, everyone comes off as cardboard and
bland. I like the art a lot and the setting is engaging if the
characters aren’t so much.
