Ever see a guy hit on a girl and not pick up on her polite rejections? He keeps trying and trying to impress. You just want to pull the guy aside and say “Stop”. Well that’s the feeling I had when reading this book and seeing the play between Magneto and Cassandra. Please… Magneto.. Stop!

Without a doubt, this the Worst of the Week. For a one shot, the story doesn’t really go any where. I found the “Ozma of Oz” 5 page teaser to be the highlight of the book. The worst part of the book is the Art. Seems Chaykin has challenges drawing people to look consistent. Magneto is all over the place, Some times his head is too big for is body. Sometimes his nose is pointy, others times round and small. In one panel Magneto looks like Jay Leno, and in another Bernie Madoff. Cassandra is drawn even worse.

With each page turn I just wanted it to stop. I take comfort that this is a one shot, because that means there is no #2. Which is what this book is.

Story: 2 - Average
Art: 1 - Poor

  1. What happened to Chaykin? I want the old Chaykin back.
