So here we are again with the start of a brand new arc of Locke & Key. This first issue of Clockworks doesn’t disappoint. We finally get a glimpse into the supernatural origins of the Locke Family and Keyhouse. If you are new to this series do yourself a favor and pick this up. This is a good issue to jump onto, you don’t need to know anything prior to follow this issue. It is worth it to pick this up purely for the art of Gabriel Rodriguez.  His art has the perfect blend of cartooning, horror, and realistic expression. Seeing Rodriguez’s take on the Revolutionary War era was very entertaining.  I’m looking forward to the next issue and if you happen to be at the SDCC check out the screening of the Locke & Key pilot.
