I can’t believe I’m typing these words, but I love this book. It’s a cosmic absurdist comedy that I haven’t seen since the 70s. It’s funny, it’s sci-fi, it’s Hoarders Rehab edition!

The story; Larfleeze has eyes on the “stuff” of an unstoppable Gaseous God from the other side of reality. You read that right. There’s great characterization here, The robot butler, the talking Ghost Dog, the red devil lackey, and the greedy Orange Wielder who wants it all! If you were a fan of Starlin’s (Adam) Warlock series, you should feel right at home here.

The Art; it’s sketchy, but it infuses movement into the panels making it more action oriented than GL or GLC currently are (BTW, Im loving both of those as well). It’s Scott Kolins on finishes, so make of that what you want. All I know is I can’t see anyone else drawing this book.

Overall; it’s a funny sci-fi book. It’s surprisingly separate from the other Lantern titles, which works in it’s favor. Give this book a chance, it may surprise you.

Story: 4 - Very Good
Art: 3 - Good
