The story in this book is accelerating at a breakneck speed, but coming together much more fluidly than a lot of the Flashpoint books. Essentially our world existed in the first 2 pages of the first book, and the world has become a Jack Kirby creation in a matter of a day with heroes of all backgrounds cropping up. I love the art and the color, and it is what I imagine Jack Kirby’s art would look like given the paper and coloring options of today. This book has the feel of Jack Kirby’s work, but more updated in the story as well. For me it’s as if the Beatles’ unreleased music was covered by modern bands without actually releasing the Beatles’ original tracks. I can’t wait to see the world that is created out of this first arc. If you’re not reading this book you should be.

Story: 5 - Excellent
Art: 5 - Excellent

  1. I agree. The first and second issues have come on like gangbusters on the art and story. I’m surprised the IFanboy crew didn’t make these their picks for the month. They are cosmic, very action oriented, fun, with some great art. I hope the series can continue in this momentum.
