So, the wait is over and the final issue is out. The verdict? Meh. The problem with delayed comics is that the momentum is stalled even if you’ve read the previous issues again before you pick this up.

It’s been said Millar has problems with endings. That’s apparent here. The villains were taken out almost too easily. We get a denoument that, while realistic, makes the preceeding events feel almost moot. Don’t get me wrong, I kind of enjoyed that this kept the realistic feel and I give Millar all the credit in the world for sticking to that. But then we get the epilogue which we all saw coming and the four words that made me a little pissed off…

You guys couldn’t finish up an 8 issue mini within 2 years. Now you’ve got the balls to imply we’ll have to sit through more of this? Sure, the story will probably be REALLY good, but we can all see the wait being longer than it needs to be.

Story: 3 - Good
Art: 4 - Very Good
