Y’know, the Specter really has an absurd costume.

I know he’s the
physical manifestation of god’s wrath, but a green cape, green
underwear and green gloves?

Regardless, this was the second book from
DC this week that had Justice in the title that bored me to tears.

I
completely blame Jerry Ordway. His visual story telling is the most
boring thing I’ve seen on the planet. I’ve seen paint be more dynamic.

As for the story, I appreciate that the JSA has a history that does
reach back to WWII but time traveling spirits of vengeance from Japan
are a dime a dozen, regardless of how cool the concept sounds.

I really
can’t wait for Willingham to come and take over because right now, it’s
just so bland, I want to dip this book in hot sauce just for something
to have flavor in this story.

  1. Perfect review. This book was uninspired in every way. By the way, did the Spectre always have such a cheesy mustache, or is this just a reflection of his host Crispus *lastnameforgotten*.

    and thank you

  3. Great review, exactly how I felt reading this. Lets just hope Willingham can rise to the challenge!

  4. Agree 100%!  The general comments section was way more forgiving, I wasn’t.  And the fact that they felt the need to put an editorial box to explain what USC stood for was insulting.  Bring the Willingham ASAP!
