I really like how this book keeps growing more and more epic. A large and diverse cast of characters fighting against a diety that led to the destruction of KC Superman's world. This issue ends the first half of this epic storyline and sets the stage for the next. Great character moments are given to Obsidian and Lightening, one who hasn't been featured much until now, and another who has just joined the cast. Even with the brief time spent on them, these characters grow and I began to care about them more. The standout moment for me was Judomaster's attack on Gog. It shows the courage of a street level character attacking a super power, and just seemed really cool to me.
Eaglesham's art is as good as it always is. It feels like a long time in between issues, but his art is good enough that it makes up for these small delays. He has some great splashes in this issue, and his last page of the real Gog is a great cliffhanger. This series continues to shine.
