This is probably the best of the team 52 books. They should have put Dan Jurgens in charge of the Justice League. While that comic is inexplicably lame despite having DC’s top guns working on it, this one has it going on with a fascinating villian and real suspense. Jurgens is at his element at DC. If you check out his titles from the Eighties and Nineties and not just Superman, you’ll see he is one of the unacknowledged greats. That he can create something this good with D lister characters makes you wonder what he could do if he had the real justice league to play with.
