I’m not going write pages upon pages about how much I’ve enjoyed this story so far, but I could. Considering this book is now one issue away from completion it felt like there was a lot of story that needed to be told after issue #22. Unfortunately that’s not what we got with issue #23.

Essentially nothing happened in this issue.

This is going to be a sweet read when it’s collected and it’s been a solid bi-weekly read in issues but this issue didn’t cut it.

Story: 1 - Poor
Art: 3 - Good

Comments

  1. That’s a bummer, how much due to expectation vs a good read?

  2. I have probably the lowest expectations for this book of anyone who comments on it regularly, and this was a really lame issue.

  3. Probably the weakest issue of the entire run after the dual pump ups of Power Girl and the previous couple of ones on JLI:GL. Such a let down. Omacs = why? Again? Already?

  4. My biggest issue is that suddenly it appears that Booster might have the upper hand against Max but it didn’t really feel like it was built up enough. I think it could’ve been a great issue but they spent to much time fighting uber omac instead of getting to the heart of the story. High hopes for issue 24 though.
