Part 1!
It took awhile for the team to come together, but boy is was it fun to watch! No sooner then completing their first mission (sorta), they have to deal with a new threat. While this is a dark event, there is no skimmping on the humor. Some of the banter between team members made me think of the old Justice League International and I found myself laughing out loud. I was on the verge of dropping this book but if this momentum keeps going, this is going to be on my pull-list for quite some time. Before I go on to part 2 of my review, I would just like to say this: I totally called a “bromance” between Deadman and Constantine back in issue 3!

Story: 5 - Excellent
Art: 4 - Very Good

Comments

  1. Issue 1 was good. Haven’t had the time to read any since though…

  2. I read the first couple issue then decided to get this in trade, but did pick this issue up since it is a crossover with I Vampire. Glad I did. I may end up putting this back on my pull.

  3. The art is really being overlooked in this title. It matches the tone of the book perfectly. Other than that Constantine is having a lot of fun but I can’t really tell the difference yet in character/abilities between Zatanna and Xanadu.
