This book is one hot mess. The artwork is really fantastic, in a mural-on-the-side-of-a-Seventies-van kind of way, but the story is so fractured it just can’t keep up. I do love some the descriptions of ‘meanwhile’ events- ‘In New Mexico, a bloody, one-sided war breaks out between fans of reality TV and readers of serious fiction..” More of that, and less of Mindwarp and Shade, the Changing Raver Dude.
