Despite the overly harsh criticisms this book has recieved, there’s still so much to enjoy. Jay Garrick adds some light to a grim group, and another arguement between Hal and Ollie about torture. Some people would be argue it’s all their doing, but some people would say this is just Hal and Ollie being Hal and Ollie. It’s their characters when they’re together and for some people that’s how they see the characters.

The pacing is admittedly slow, but it’s leading to somewhere. The art is beautiful.

And, of course, the icing on the cake is Robinson’s text pieces at the end when we get into the mind of the writer and get to see why he chose the characters he chose. Add in a good origin back-up and it’s a bang for your buck.

Let’s see where the story is at the final issue before we judge it, shall we?

Story: 4 - Very Good
