HATED this issue of Jonah Hex.  If this is the first issue you have ever pulled on this title, PLEASE give it one more chance because this was really really bad.  I typically like most issues, I enjoy that they are one shots.  Give it a try next week, it can’t be any worse.

  1. Yes, but WHAT did you not like about it?

  2. first issue i’ve ever read about Jonah Hex… if this issue sucks then i can’t wait for a awesome issue.

i’ll agree that there were some panels  that were hard to understand what was going on but i don’t know… i dug it.

i’m onboard. congrats Conor, Josh… not Ron… he doesn’t like the Hex.

  3. Hi Ron, you’re right I should have given some reasons why I hated it.  So here goes:

The art was horrible.  Wasn’t Jonah a prisoner in the last issue, of which most folks thought it was written much better.  I’m not alone in my dislike of this issue check the comments.  Another problem is that I wasn’t pulled into the story mainly because the dialogue felt like a spaghetti western or worse.  The use of American Indians in this issue could have been much better, I mean come on portraying them as savages has already been done a zillion times.  If the writter had just stretched his imagination some then he’d find that there is a plethera of ways to potray American Indians.  This issue was like beating a dead horse (pardon the pun) I’m really was not concerned that he was captured, same old thing written in a really poor way.  I just felt like it was worth a "D" verses an "A".  Think about the those books that are A material and then honestly look at this story, it’s just plan sit com quality at best.
