Whelp, it’s official: I’m done with this book. While the series started out strong with an amazing concept, I feel that the story has gotten out of hand. I literally had no flippin’ clue as to what was going on in this issue. Absolutely none. Yes, I could go back and read the other two issues, but with today’s modern conventions, I expect an elegance to the storytelling that does not require one to constantly have to re-read with every new issue. It’s a shame really because this series has a great concept: zombie girl eats brains to stay normal and solves mysteries around people’s deaths. It’s just that this story has gotten out of hand. Now there’s vampires, werewolves, and mysterious men, and the characters are no closer to solving the central mystery to the plot. It’s a shame really because I love, love love, Allred’s art so much. I just can’t swallow the story…much like I could never swallow brains.

Story: 1 - Poor
