There's nothing I like more than an Iron Man issue where sumbuddy gets UPGRADED.
The story is starting to gain momentum and we see a bit of what Pepper does besides babysit Tony. T.S. also reveals a perfectly natural and in-character foible to Rhodey, that's he's been holding out on him all these years, keeping War Machine a few steps behind Iron Man .... NO MORE! (is it any wonder no one likes you Iron Man 1.0?)
Employing Ghost's tech and a page out of Dan Slott's new Spidey stealth suit War Machine goes from mortar shell to smart bomb. It kind of makes perfect sense.
Tony's ribbing about Rhodey's...[Hank Hill voice]....uhhh... prominent ..ordinance... is good for a laugh. I am liking this book a lot.
The art is inconsistent but that is due to some emergency fill ins. IT doesn't really distract from the story but I like some same artist in my book unless there's a good dimension hopping reason. So I'll hold off judging until the art team stabilizes in the next few issues.
I also couldn't stop thinking about this opening theme song the whole time. GETTING MY INVENT ON!
