The Marvel Now 1st issues to date have pretty much failed to deliver the feeling of awe you really want going into a new series, and this really is no exception.
Story wise, obviously there is a lot of setting up for events to come, and Gillen does a pretty good job of doing that while still finding time to give us some nice character interplay and some sharp dialogue. On the artistic side, I’m not a Greg Land hater like many iFanboys seem to be, and I think there are some good pages here (particularly, as has been noted elsewhere, the pages with Tony in armour), but the whole thing just seems to lack that “wow” factor that hooks you into a great new series or relaunch. I will give this a couple of issues to see if it can grab me, but so far I have to say, when it comes to line-wide relaunches, DC still has the edge with the New 52.

Story: 4 - Very Good
Art: 3 - Good
