Having only gotten back into comics in the last six months, after a 10+ year laps, one of the books that I had been meaning to check out was the monthly Iron Man title. So when I grabbed 500.1 I expected a quick origin retelling followed by some flashbacks of a few key moments Fraction would be pulling upon in his upcoming arcs. What I got however was what I can only assume is a very personal story from Fraction possibly mirroring some of his own experiences on the road to recovery.

The way I see it you can get all the important plot summaries of a character from a wiki search but it takes a writer to show you the soul of a character and make you care about them. For this reason I think Iron Man 500.1 was a grand slam that I hope the other .1 issues can live up to.
