Iron Man #27 continues the push into new things that’s been typical of Fraction and Larroca’s run. Plus, the return of a great old character from the 80s was an excellent addition to the cast of the series and is much appreciated by this Iron Man fan. I really like Fraction’s version of Tony and the dynamics he has with the people around him are excellent reading every month.

As an aside, I’m a little disappointed that everyone else at Marvel seems to be writing the same old Tony. As the “real” Iron Man book, it’s setting an example that should be followed, rather than being the exception to the rule.

I can’t recommend this book enough for people looking for smart comics that look into the future and who don’t need an action scene out of every issue (though this month’s delivers a great one and the promise of some Iron-vs-Steel action next month).

  2. Yeah this was a good issue. I’m glade Pepper is getting her suit back.

  3. The Pepper-Tony talk in the issue was one of the things I loved most in this issue.
