It is reassuring to know that the flawed hero concept remains an integral part of Iron Man and Tony Stark's character. The series has always been about Tony Stark making mistakes and then dealing with them. This is further strengthened by the idea of new technologies replacing old ones. In effect the armor is a reflection of the man. This issue nailed both aspects. The interaction between Tony and Thor was poignant, especially when Thor comments, "There is the Stark I knew. There is the Stark I remember " and the homage to the old Avengers meetings when Thor and Iron Man would always argue. At the same time Tony is undergoing this personal growth he is working on building a new armor, which at the end of a predominantly Tony Stark issue he dons echoing Robert Downey Jr.'s "I am Iron Man!" Salvador Larroca's art fits the book seamlessly. It was also a good decision on Marvel's part to release this issue one week before Iron Man 2, it builds a lot of excitement. Finally after being on the flawed end of the spectrum since Civil War Tony Stark is back on his feet; both him and Iron Man are resilient.
