Maybe this would read better in a trade or maybe I should hold back and just read this in a few issues in chunks.  I dug the last issue it was frantic and had quick choppy panels that seemed to fit the action well. This issue felt framed the same way but didn’t fit the story. Mark is digesting all of what happened in the previous issue with a great deal thrown at him but he never seem him digest anything. He just seems to pout, cry, and run around. Maybe I am just a dummy and Kirkman was trying to get the reader to feel the same way Mark does, run ragged, but man was it dull to read. The one great thing about a comic books as a medium is we get to read the internal dialogue of characters, sure would have been nice here. Art was ok same style as Cory just not as crisp.

  1. I don’t know what to say but giving Ottleys art a 2 out of 5 is just…wrong. But to each his own.

  2. Maybe a 2 was harsh I like Cory Walker on the book much better.

  3. Point taken. But he hasn’t been on the book for years. I think I like ’em both equaly. I am just afraid Walker is to slow for a monthly book. And being able to put out the book on time is part of being a good artist. Or at least part of being the right artist for the job.

I heard Cory Walker he will be back on Invincible for two issues. Lucky you. I’m looking forward to this as well. Welcome change to stir things up a little.

  4. True true.  I did reread my Atom Eve mini issues a day or so before this so I may have been in sad longing mode

  5. meh, I’m not on your train of "Meh-ness" I think Kirkman’s working up to something. He’s just using the multiple Invincibles’ destruction as a way to show how serious this next fight is going to get.
