With Namor's first line "accursed lung man!"you know your in for a treat, and #122 delivers completely. Greg Pak & Fred Van Lente write a great dumb super-hero misunderstanding fight in 3 pages with gorgeous art work from Clayton Henry & Salva Espin, along with fantastic sound effects and the pacing doesn't let up.
This book is for me practically flawless, from plot through the script, to the art work and right up to the lettering and colouring, it's been a while since I've laughed out loud at a comic but Herc's thumbs up to Amadeus had me, along with Delphyne & Amadeus's conversation. The characterisation from both dialogue & art are spot on, from the aforementioned thumbs up across the spectrum to Hippolyta's appearance in the Greek myth flashback. It's a testament to all the people involved that whilst I've never heard of Marvel's Hippolyta before I really don't want her to stay dead.
If you are not already reading this book you need to.Pick of the week.
