Oh me oh my. So much to love about this issue. After a slow build in 1 & 2, setting up our two main characters, we’re finally picking up the pace with the story telling. An unconventional take on the well trodden Vampire path, JHV’s twist of vampire vs vampire is a unique and refreshing twist. Tie ins to the rest of the DCU only sweeten the deal.

For a third issue on the bounce, Sorrentino’s art is off the scale; almost every page here is Pick Of The Panels worthy.

If things didn’t pick up in this issue I was ready to drop this book — I can’t buy it for the art alone (although it’s tempting). Now I can’t wait until next month.

Story: 4 - Very Good
Art: 5 - Excellent
