Nothing about Hunger #2 should have me raving about it, but, here I am, waxing praise all over this fun, cosmic tale of a universe dying.
The scope of this mini-series is enormous, but writer Joshua Hale Fialkov has done a fantastic job shrinking down the indispensable plot points into a cohesive, well-oiled narrative.
While it can be argued that much of what’s going on in Hunger is predictable and/or cliche’, Fialkov makes the reader ignore those notions by delivering a story that is both informative and entertaining to read.
In regards to the art, I count myself as a new fan of Leonard Kirk! His clean, but expressive flair elevates Fialkov’s story with each panel. Most notable is Kirk’s ability to capture the enormity of Galactus.
I was not a reader of Age of Ultron and cared little to learn more about it’s implications, but with my enjoyment of Hunger, Fialkov and Kirk has me starving for more!

Story: 4 - Very Good
Art: 5 - Excellent
