Really Jeph Loeb?  Really?

If the first story had been stretched to fill the entire issue, it might have been interesting to follow.  The second story might have been good, too, if , well, if it had been any good.

The preview of the next issue also looks lame.

C’mon Jeph, tell us who the Red Hulk is already, or at least give the readers a compelling reason to care.

As it stands, while the artwork for the issue was great, the only decent page for storytelling was Audrey Loeb’s “Hulk Ice”, which reminded me that I could have spent the time I allotted to read The Hulk #9 rereading Mini-Marvels, and had a much more enjoyable night.

Story: 1 - Poor
Art: 4 - Very Good

  1. Strange. I have a very good reason to care about the indentity of the Hulk. Also, it seems to me that the weakness of this arc has been Frank Cho’s horryfiying BAD and sexist depiction of She-Hulk and the rest of the women in this arc. The guy has got to be a damn perv. That might say something about those who complain about the story but enjoy Cho’s art.

  2. Really, you find the art sexist but not the way the characters are written?

In this title, all the women seem 2-D and 44DD, which has never been a turn on for me, but something, as a comic reader, I’ve grown accustomed to seeing in the DC/Marvel universes.

While I’m glad you, and a few others really care about the identity of Rulk, I’ve had people dropping this title left and right since issue 6.
