Not a new development w/ Bruce controlling his Hulk. He did it during Planet Hulk & World War Hulk, and couldn’t do it recently because the Leader and his crew sapped his power, which he regained when he he absorbed all that gamma radiation a few issues ago in Pak’s book. It seems the more power/radiation he absorbes, the more control over the Hulk he has.
I think in Planet and World War Hulk Banner’s personality was more submerged in the Hulk personality. The way Loeb wrote him here it feels much more Banner-ish. This may not hold with a new writer. We’ll see.
