This is the finale of Hit-Girl and figured “This is the best jumping on point to this crazy book”. Surprisingly, despite my mock adveturousness, the book read really well. I just read the introductory page that explained what happened previously and i felt i didn’t miss anything. It could be for the benefit or detriment of the book but to me i felt its a well rounded issue/book. JRJR’s art here shined and loved the painted look it had. The story and dialogue was great with a number of cultural hints and jabs. (Almost jarring but funny enough to be ignored) The cliffhanger ending felt really familiar from the previous books, however and reading this in context of what happened to the first Kick-Ass book, which is the only one i read, it seemed the story did not move along and we’re back to square one. It’s definitely not going to hook me up for the beginning of the next book but if i have a spare 5 bucks lying around by the finale of book 3, i’ll probably pick it up again.

Story: 3 - Good
Art: 4 - Very Good
