Fraction is developing a voice with this book. For all the stuff I have heard about people not enjoying his other work that much, I have had little to judge him by other than this. This is a story about people and how they banded together to make sure things were not worse than they had to be. They could have been so much worse. Also there are boats, a break from bros, and more of that “he’s just a really good dude” feeling about Hawkguy. The art is inconsistent but mostly good. For the deadlines they apparently had to rush in order to get this out, I say well done, and bring on the Aja arc.
