First of all, I have to admit, I am a little biased, Hawk and Dove are my favorite superheros of all time, and have been since about 1989. My opinion of this book though, is that it is good, not great. The characters of Hawk and Dove have such great potential, and yet Sterling Gates isn’t using them to that potential.

This issue specifically is better. I like the continuing character development going on, and I am starting to build opinions about certain new people showing up. For example, I agree with Hawk, and I do not like Deadman and Dove as a couple (but it makes for good drama…).

However, now we should deal with the Giant pink elephant in the room. Rob Liefeld. My opinion is he got a bad rap in the early 90s and has improved greatly. However, the fact of the matter is, people will never stop scanning all of his art for the slightest error, which is actually a huge compliment. Let me just throw this idea out there, if the only thing you can complain about is feet and the gritting the teeth expression, you might want to throw in the towel and buy a Batman comic. Stop wasting your time.

All in all, I am liking this book, and it is improving. If you have an open mind, I would recommend you buy this.

Story: 3 - Good
