While I hate to nitpick, I had thought that the one character that Abnett & Lanning just couldn't get right was Adam Warlock, one of my favorite Marvels of all time. Well, they might not have done a great Warlock, but man do they hit the nail on the head with their Magus. For those who don't know, Magus is the evil counterpart to Warlock, and he was in his heyday in the Infinity Gauntlet/War era.

Writing from the perspective of Phylla-Vell, a character who is growing on me, we learn about the nefarious plans of the Magus. We also learn that the recently deceased members of the GoG (including Cosmo!) are not really dead - rather they are collected by Magus to become his worshipers.

This arc is exciting, fun, and heavy. One more great Marvel cosmic issue from the best writers at Marvel. The art was sufficient, but not superb - but who cares? As long as the art is not distracting, I'm happy.
