This book is probably the best book at Marvel right now ...bar none . This is coming from a guy who when he heard that one of the members was Rocket Racoon was ready to write it off completely . Fortunatly one of the comic store clerks convinced me to try it . I was and still am completely blown away with every issue . Abnett and Lanning continue to impress me every time . They are not content to write mind blowingly great cosmic stories but they sprinkle these sweeet , touching and flat out funny moments in with every issue. The charecters are intersting and quirk and every bit as heroic as the original Guardians . Recent issue have seen the team decimated by deaths at the hands of Adam Warlocks evil self , Magus and now Moondragon is impregnated by an evil entity from a dimension where death does'nt exist . Normally that would,nt sound like a bad thing but in the hands of Abnett and Lanning it is terrifying .

   The art in this issue is good , but nothing spectacular. I actually feel bad for the artists on this book because its strength lies with the writing . But I will go on record as saying that the art has never been bad but it is nowhere near as good as the writing .

  I will continue to foist this book on any and everyone I meet . This is how cosmic themed books should be written . This book ranks right up there with Starlin's Warlock and Dreadstar stuff , and believe me when I say that is high praise indeed . I will read this book until Rocket Racoon gets the mange and Groot lands on a planet of piddling canines , even then if Abnett and Lanning are writing I may give it a shot .
