This is the creepiest, but also one of the most imaginative comics I have ever read. The extraterrestrial super team the Luminals have brought a vicious alien life form on to Knowwhere from the fault. This life form, which looks something like Venom, has killed one of the Luminals, so they want to put the creature on trial. The members of the Universal Church of Truth think the fault life form is their god, and they want to worship it. The Guardians of the Galaxy just want to return the Venom-like creature from whence it came, but the monster has made Moondragon its host. The creature takes up residence inside Moondragon’s gut, making her look very pregnant. By the end of the comic, the Church of Truth has custody of Moondragon. This story arc appears to be on the road to becoming something of a satire on organized religion, but I’m not sure how the Guardians are going to extricate themselves from this pickle. The art team does a fine, detailed job.
