I loved the fuck out of this issue! lets get it out in the open so all my further gushing is explained for.

This issue was a perfect fusion of art and story.Grifter being my first exposure to edmonson’s writing I may definately have to pick up the jake ellis trade.as for cafu I have no idea where to start with him(not in a bad way of course).

A great issue starts with a great cover and that cover pretty much is all the incentive to buy this issue I needed.Bold, dynamic and eye catching if I was a new reader this is probably where I’d want to start.

In terms of the story as if Cole Cash needed anymore reasons to want to wipe out the deamonite race for abducting him and ruining his life, you really get by the end of the issue that they went too far and now must suffer the repercutions.

Following Cole’s love intrest for a few pages during the issue was a nice pallet cleanser from the firey bloody wreck that has became of grifter, showing her on her way to starting her new life we begin to see how far the deamonite influence spreads through out our world.

The last few pages of this book are leaving waiting with baited breaths for an issue which if handled well could be an intresting first encounter between Grifter and the new 52 superhero community.

Artwise Cafu keeps on getting better and better improving more with each page, from the near simplistic line work issue one to the gritty grainy fight of issue three it seems as though as the story gets more complex and layered so does the art.

Keep up the good work team Grifter and lets keep on trucking for a long time to come!
