“Teetering on the edge of happiness. We had the world in our pocket.”

If you have not read Green Wake here is the low down: People wake up in Green Wake not knowing how or why they are there, and there are a lot of frogs… I fell asleep after reading Green Wake and had a nightmare. I will never do that again! The art IS like a nightmare, foggy and creepy, making it easy to sneak into my dreams.

It is a mystery of course. This issue revealed the events of the day before Morley ended up in Green Wake. He had what everyone wants, whether they want to admit it or not. A woman who loved him and was down to get it on in a barn, a baby in her belly , and a promotion that promised a house where they could live happily ever after. To bad he didn’t listen to his woman when she asked him to stop driving in the storm… I love Green Wake, yes its moving slow but mysteries take time, and the art does not waste it. Definitely worth taking a look if this is your kind of thing…

Moral of the Issue: MEN, ALWAYS LISTEN TO YOUR WOMAN! IF SHE IS WORTH IT SHE IS GOING TO BE RIGHT 99% OF THE TIME.

Story: 4 - Very Good
Art: 5 - Excellent

  1. “…down to get it on in a barn” – indeed! Would that we were all so lucky in our amorous pursuits!

  2. Nice review. Funny and well done. I’m reading this before bed!
