Honestly, tons of people enjoy the TV show more than me. I saw all the episodes. I enjoyed it, but I never loved it. And it had nothing to do with the computer animation. I’m just a hardcore fan of both classic Green Lantern from the ’80s, as well as Johns’ run since 2004. When watching the show, I always found myself wishing it was closer to the original mythos, but when I turned off my expectations, I enjoyed it.

Without effort, I enjoy this book month to month. It reminds me of Denny O’Neil/Mike Grell Lantern from the early ’80s, deeply involved, one-shot sci-fi goodness. Though it’s not an all-ages book, it never feels dumbed down in the slightest. Plus this book is consistently better than New Guardians and Red Lanterns.

  1. I meant “though it IS an all-ages book.”

  2. I totally agree that this book is not only very good, bur also that it is better than New Guardians and Red Lanterns.
