Boy, Invictus can talk. And talk.
As it turns out, Invictus is a frustrating villain with frustrating logic. Maybe that's not in a bad way. I don't know yet. I mean, there are plenty of people out there whose intentions and stated reasons don't hold up under scrutiny, but they'll fight to the end to defend why they make sense. Invictus is one of those. He could be a politician, maybe.
We learn why he's upset with Lanterns thanks to the expository power of Saint Walker's ring. Basically, Larfleeze kicked his butt. I'm not familiar with how Larfleeze has been characterized before, because I've never really been a Lantern reader, but I find it a little tricky to reconcile the mass murderer Invictus recalls with the pseudo-comical Grinch that I've seen so far in NEW GUARDIANS. Though it is kinda neat that his sentient constructs are basically the souls of the fallen, bound to him.
Bleez returns to the group in time to ruin everything, fresh from whatever's been going on in RED LANTERNS that allows her to not be a raving madwoman. She's still very angry, though.
And while Kyle and the others start to realize the Power of Friendship, I start to realize that we're still on this freaking story at issue 7, and even though there's been plot movement in each issue, I suppose I'd like that plot to be...well, something else.
