Poor John Stewart. He’s the sad sack Green Lantern. He’s probably my favorite given his unique background of being a Marine and also an architect. I’ve always liked how the constructs that the Green Lanterns create help us see their own internal identities but in this issue the only thing Stewart really constructs is a little wallowing. It may sound like I’m ragging on this issue but I like this from him. He’s done some heavy shit. He’d killed a bunch of Lanterns, of all colors, for tough reasons. He’s the Jack Bauer of the GLC, willing to do what needs to get done when no one else wants to. I’m interested also in where the Guy Gardner storyline goes. This title is really great especially when contrasted with what Johns is doing in Green Lantern. Highly recommended for uber-GL fans.
