There is just too much going on in the Green Lantern world these days.

Now I loved Blackest Night. I thought it was one of the best events I’ve read, I loved every issue, a lot of the tie-ins and I thought that Green Lantern was super solid during it’s run. But ever since Brightest Day took over, GL has been severely lacking. Too many side characters, too many stories happening, each thread of a story only lasts for a couple pages, moves to somewhere else, then Hal Jordan shows up randomly, plays tough guy, gets surprised and then there’s a big reveal. It’s getting real tired and hard to follow. I probably won’t drop the title any time soon, but I can understand why lots of people are. Hopefully this goes somewhere and we are dealing with the lackluster stuff for something good.

I’m also getting bored with Mahnke’s art. Or more likely the ink and colors rather than the pencils.
