The issue opens with Red Lantern Dex-Star melting some subway thugs with his Red Lantern blood vomit. That must have been one nasty hairball. The Dex-Star intro alone makes this book POTW worthy. I love when a book makes me laugh out loud like that. 

The book goes from that to panels that feel like they were ripped right out of Brightest Day.  I didn't care for the Brightest Day recap but one more piece of the puzzle was revealed.  So the "New Guardians" mission is to recover the various lantern entities before some mysterious villain.  The Ion entity was captured by said villain and it appears that Sodam Yat has returned to Daxam along with the Daxam Sun's red hue.  I'm glad that Sodam Yat has returned, he has easily become one of my favorite Green Lanterns.  The issue ends with the surprise return of Lobo.

Overall, recycled recap aside, this issue was very entertaining.  Funny moments involving space cats, great dialogue between Hal and Sinestro, and the return of some major players, this issue had it all.
