This was probably my favorite issue of GL since Rebirth. It was
everything that Johns does well right there on display.

The fact that
Barry and Hal are pals because they’re cliche good cop bad cop is
something I’ve never seen written before, but is absolutely perfect.

The idea that J’onn and Barry talked shop is just a great little
character moment.

 I don’t know why people keep forgetting how strong
J’onn is, maybe it’s the weakness but I’m never shocked when I see him
kicking as much ass as Superman.

This was Silver Age action with 90’s
grim and grittiness.

I loved the art. How the black ooze affects Barry
was excellent.
