I’ve heard about the hype on how Johns virtually revitalized DC with awesome stories from Green Latern. Jumping into this issue without regard for who the characters are felt that the hype was justified. Even though i did not know who the people were in this issue, you still got filled in with what you needed to know about the premise and universe you are reading into. You just needed to know that there is a green lantern corp composed of aliens and a human in one of the side (or main) stories. The art was pro-grade at best but somewhat spotty on some areas. The double page spread was a welcome and colorful treat. It may not be my brand of comics but it sure is one solid book.
