its really kind of sad to read this book.  not necessarily that Judd Winick is ending his five year run, but that he ends with what is arguably his weakest issue EVER.  i thought he was the perfect heir apparent to Kevin Smith and Brad Metlzer back when it was a solo book, and he kept the character alive through Infinite Crisis, and i thought that when Ollie was mayor was just fun, toeing the line between politcical books like Ex Machina and plain old super hero fun like Ultimate Spider-Man.  when the series was relaunched after the marriage of GA and BC, i really enjoyed it.  As it went along, though, and artist cliff chiange left, i felt the book leave its footing, and the last few issue have been almost after thoughts on my pull list.  the next writer has one issue to win me over,so heres hoping i dont have to drop a book ive been reading since i started reading comics.  What happened, Judd?  you used to be awesome.

Comments

  1. I call shennanigans on you saying Norton’s art is poor.

  2. i thought it felt weak in this issue, the weakest he’s ever been.  maybe poor was a little overdramatic, but it just felt…very blah,  nothing spectacular, not really amazing to look at, and not art to relish in.

  3. Sorry. I’ll try more next time!

  4. im just saying it looked a little rushed.  i hope i didnt offend you at all.
