Gladstone’s is pretty good for an all ages book, not Pixar good, but
pretty good. The first issue was good enough that it had me come back for the second, but I’ll give anything anything Mark Andrew Smith writes a real shot. Actually one of the best parts of this issue was the cameo of El Campeon from his Amazing Joy Buzzards comic, well that and the kid version of Tetsuo in the fight with him. The art from Armand Villavert is good, and his costume design is great along with the amazing fight scenes, but his big flaw is the lack of backgrounds make the art seem a little hollow, but the coloring helps to fill in the gaps. Smith and Villavert are building an interesting universe in this book, I’m not 100% sold yet, but intrigued enough to give it a couple issues at least.

Story: 3 - Good
Art: 4 - Very Good
