This is a strange book. I really like the idea behind it. I think it's a great idea to acknowledge and celebrate some of the top female talent working in the comic industry, both the creative talent and the nuts and bolts talent working in the offices of DC and Marvel and elsewhere helping get so many books to press. I liked the short bios of some of the important woman that played important roles in the history of comics, too. That said, I didn't particularly enjoy this book much and ended up skimming through most of it. Through out the entire book the art was top notch. I absolutely love the Amanda Conner cover. I think it set the tope perfectly for what I wanted this book to be. A lot of the writing though felt very not-ready-for-prime-time. The four page Punisher story, with the Punisher posing as a teenage girl to trap online predators was kinda twisted and funny, the way a good punisher story tends to be. The day in the life of Doctor Octopus story, was pretty quirky and felt like it would have been right at place in that Stange Tales anthology from last year. Otherwise, though, I don't think I finished any of the other stories in the book.
