This book is very very good. I encourage anyone to give IDW a chance and to start reading their new G.I. Joe series. All three books compliment one another with different types of stories and different styles of art. This series follows Chuckles who is DEEP undercover. The writing is amazing between his personal thought dialogue and the conversations between actors. It had me laughing out loud at parts too!

The art style is not what I usually like but it makes this book feel dirty, and dangerous. Andy Schmidt and the crew at IDW have done a very good job of assigning jobs to their staff. Larry Hama is best suited doing the origin’s story, Chuck Dixon is doing a good job with the action based main book, and the group on this book is perfectly suited for this type of story.

It’s the pick of the week for me, which doesn’t say much because I read G.I. Joe and the Ultimate books, but it is also the pick of the week for the show! That says something.

Story: 5 - Excellent
Art: 5 - Excellent
